Responsible Lighting

Our Story

Founded in 1984, WAC Lighting has evolved into a global company that designs, engineers and manufactures innovative track, recessed, under cabinet, monorail, step and wall lights and decorative lighting solutions with a new sustainable LED collection for residential, retail, hospitality, museum and commercial applications.

More than two decades ago, WAC created breakthroughs in low voltage halogen recessed and track lighting.  In addition, we have created a broad range of pendants and fixtures that work with a variety of mounting options including tracks, rails and canopies using the innovative Quick Connect™ components.  Most recently we have developed an extensive line of award-winning LEDme® luminaires including tape lights, pendants and fixtures, as well as revolutionary Organic LED fixtures.

Our strong family values are transformed into successful business values while promoting the highest standards of entrepreneurship and quality of life.  We use the phrase “Responsible Lighting” as the brand standard that reflects WAC’s holistic approach to business, encompassing a deep commitment to responsible eco-friendly manufacturing, extensive research/development, energy saving technology, design aesthetics and altruism, while supporting diversity and goodwill in the local and global communities.

Our customers have always come first in our marketing strategy and business model.  We leverage emerging lamping and lighting technologies to create luminaires that ensure our customers’ success in the marketplace.  We listen to customer concerns and build lighting solutions that will exceed their expectations.

Technical innovation is central to what people have come to expect from the WAC Lighting brand. Advancements in light sources, materials engineering, electronics and architecture have allowed our team to push the boundaries of engineering and inspired designs. Engaging designers and artisans, we continue to build inroads in the creation of art glass lighting that combines old world techniques with modern styles and colors. We search worldwide for innovative artistic styles developed out of the creative liberties of master glass blowers. To acknowledge local art cultures, WAC goes directly to the sources for authenticity, including Italy for works of Murano fused glass fashion; Germany for technically perfect glasswork; and the North American Pacific Northwest for brilliant colors and organic creativity. Incorporating these cutting edge lighting technologies helps showcase its many works of art.

WAC Lighting continues to greatly reduce the environmental footprint of our manufacturing operations in a dedicated, clean ISO-14001/9001-certified facility. This zero-landfill, 750,000 square-foot manufacturing campus operates in-house UL authorized testing labs. Nearly 90% of all WAC Lighting products are fabricated, to a component level, within this campus and our USA facilities.

WAC has become a recognizable brand name as an Solid State Lighting leader with a stellar reputation for excellence in technology and design - a reliable name that you can trust for superior quality, innovative technology and superlative service.
